Published March 31, 2008 chevrolet , chevy trucks , safety Leave a CommentTags: onstar, power, safety, tahoe
Vroooooooom! Screams my 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe into life when you turn the key to ignition! … all of a sudden all these little gadgets come to life! Check out my Digital Information Center which gives me a “heads-up” on the vehicle current mile counter, tire pressure – all 4 of ‘em!, oil life, fuel economy, distance for available fuel, and many more! Yes, it is so convenient and gives you a sort of assurance!
When I start cruising on the freeway, (cruise control available), I love feeling the smooth premium ride suspension control and the vehicle’s capability for traction control on slippery roads. This vehicle has excellent handling and grip on the road – a totally safe vehicle with it’s head curtain side airbags all the way to the 3rd row. Equipped also with OnStar, I feel so protected - nothin’ beats this safety feature for a full size SUV!
Fuel economy is not as bad as some people would say. I spend at least $70 per week travelling 36 miles a day at high speed - totaling 216 miles for a 6-day workweek! Not bad ey? yea, yea….but really!
Comfort is never compromised in the SUV! The seats are ergonomically designed for a comfortable ride with ample leg space provided for that long stretch! And YES, luggage space is plentiful! With the vehicles versatility to adapt to different situations, the 3rd row can be folded or completely taken out of the vehicle to extend cargo space! Isn’t it wonderful? Now you have space for those heart-pounding 20” subwoofers! Boom! Boom! Boomshakalak till you drop!
My driving experience with my 2008 Chevy Tahoe has built in me a totally “new space” – where great things happen in style, comfort, and piece of mind! ……AND RIGHT NOW, I’M JUST LOVIN’ IT!……..
Those Little Green Caps
Published February 13, 2008 community , consumer , education , new products , safety Leave a CommentTags: fuel economy, green, nitrogen, safety, tires
You may have noticed the bright green tire caps on other peoples cars and wondered where you could find some. Green tire caps indicate the tires are filled with nitrogen. The air we breathe, and what normally goes into our tires, is composed of approximately 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen. Because nitrogen molecules are larger and more substantial than oxygen molecules the leakage rate is 3 to 4 times lower when nitrogen is used.
Nitrogen is a safe, dry, non-flammable, non-corrosive gas. The US Military, Boeing, NASA, Indy Car, and NASCAR have been filling their tires with nitrogen for years, but it is now available for consumers. Nitrogen-inflated tires can significantly increase a vehicle’s performance by improving steering, reducing the chance of blowouts, improving handling, and improving braking. Nitrogen-filled tires can also improve fuel economy, extend tire life, and reduce oxidation in your tires. Nitrogen helps the environment by improving overall fuel efficiency, which results in a reduction in harmful toxic emissions.
Every vehicle at Singh Chevrolet has had its tires filled with nitrogen so that our customers can enjoy the benefits. When you buy our nitrogen package you get free refills for the life of your vehicle, even if you change out your tires. Your tires will sport the little green caps, which show are invested in maximizing safety, performance, and the air we breathe. For more information about our Nitrogen Package please contact us.
